We are continuing to invest in the Wairarapa region to help build a more reliable and resilient network for customers and to ensure Greytown has the power supply to support residential and commercial growth and help avoid unplanned outages in the future.
Phase 3 will take place in early 2025 and will be focused on western Greytown. The six-week upgrade project will involve seven outages on the west side of the town. The timing of this project has been specifically chosen to avoid the coldest of the winter months, the busy holiday season and any clashes with local events.
After consultation with community stakeholders, outage dates will be confirmed and we'll let customers know by email. Customers will also get a notification from their retailers (who they pay their power bill to) and outage information is always available on our
outage map on our website.
We know outages are never convenient, but they are necessary for our field crew to carry out their work safely.
