Powerco Board appoints Acting Chief Executive
Powerco Board Chair John Loughlin has today announced that Powerco Chief Financial Officer Chris Taylor will be the company’s Acting Chief Executive from Friday 20 December with the departure of James Kilty.
Chris Taylor, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the energy sector, nine of those with Powerco, will fill the role of interim Powerco Chief Executive until a new CEO is appointed and is able to take up the role.
John Loughlin says the process to appoint a new CEO is going well and the Board was working through a quality shortlist.
An announcement of a successful candidate will be made in due course.
“James has led the business well for the past three years. He is leaving the company in a strong position to advance the decarbonisation of New Zealand for our customers and communities,” John Loughlin says.
James Kilty takes up the role of Transpower CEO from early February.
